About The Great Watching Chamber

Great Watching Chamber WindowsWatching Chamber Stained Glass WindowThe Great Watching Chamber at Hampton Court Palace was built with a connection to the Great Hall. It was designed so the Royal Guards could guard and watch over the royal family.  The Great Hall is one of the original state rooms built by Henry VIII who used it for elaborate state banquets and entertainment for those of his guests that had the rank of baron or more. The stained Glass windows of the Watching Tower are Victorian and these examples were the inspiration for the design on this bauble.
