This morning I was expecting to watch the England World Cup Rugby match against France in Tokyo. I’m not an early riser, preferring to stay snuggled under my duvet with a nice cup of tea, but duty calls and although England have already qualified, an England/ France game is always a good one to watch.
Instead what I am doing this morning is sparing a thought for those living in Tokyo knowing that typhoon Hagibis the worst to hit Japan since 1958 is likely to reach Tokyo or near Tokyo at any moment.
I’m thinking of everybody out there and wish them all well. I really hope it is not as destructive as typhoon Ida or Kanogawa in 1958
